Better but not Perfect ...

I'm deffinantly still on a learning curve here, because here's the result of my short row wrap heel ...

This is the better side showing.

Looking sorta okay, but it could be better ...

And then there's the other side of the sock ...

As you can see, it has some BIGGER holes or rather loose stitches are what they are. I know why tho. It's because I didn't do the second wrap ... I had no idea how to do that ... BUT

I finally have some directions I can understand and that's the only reason I now know what I was doing wrong. I'll will go back to this tonight and atempt to do it better ... sure hope the yarn will hold up to all this abuse that I'm giving it. Sorry Fleece Artist, but it's a good thing it's a high quality beautiful wool yarn, hey!

Today it's even hotter, but the StitchingNut keeps on knitting!

That is such pretty yarn! I'm sure it will stand up to being reknit - after all, it will have to stand up to being inside shoes! Are those balloon flowers? I love the colors.

Bummer about the holes!

I like the Priscilla Gibson-Roberts method (srpo?) ... if you get the urge to try it again, there's a really cool photo tutorial on Purlwise for it in her sidebar. It took me several tries to decipher Ms. G-R's instructions for it (in Simple Socks: Plain & Fancy) but I really like it now :)

Good luck, and I think the FA can take it!
